Bizarre travel plans are dancing lessons from God.
Best travel plans are those which are unplanned. And this trip was no exception. It has been almost a year since I went on any trip; All thanks to the corporate life and the commitments. But now, I've left that life behind and have been on my own for quite some time. Thanks to being a full time content creator and a photographer. So, this is how it all came to be.
A normal discussion between two of my friends (Mayank and Sachin) was something which resulted in this trip and if for not them, the trip could not have been a possibility. Sachin was back in town after a long time, and he primarily had the itch to go somewhere and Mayank supported him. Though both had quite a deep conversation about the destination. I was still not part of the discussion and had no idea that in few days we will be moving from 45 degree celsius temperature of New Delhi to -3 of Himalayas. The plan of two people now had me as third person and before we could realize the number shot up to 8 people. 2 of Sachin's office friends (Priyanka and Smita) from Pune would join us in few days. Also Mayank's 2 cousins (Rakesh and Saurabh) and his sister in law (Kritika) would be part of the travel memoir too.
It's that time of the year when most of the Delhi traffic takes a turn and moves towards Greater Noida. Suddenly everyone becomes automobile fanatics and a walking encyclopedia of auto industry.
So, what is special about this one week? This is a week when a common person, a middle class dream can get up and close with his wet dreams. This is a week when he can get a peek into all the exotic automobiles which he has seen only in magazines, TV, internet or in his dreams.
But is it what we all think it is? or is it something more? I call it a week of chaos. You may ask why? Let me explain:
The only thing constant in life is Change. And the change comes in plethora of ways. For me it came in the form of this wonderful person, Navneet. She is currently a NIFT student and a complete fashion fanatic. She knows how to mold things her way and how to come up with creative ways to transform something boring to something exciting.
I have been following her work on instagram for sometime now and have always liked the creativity and simplicity in her. Hence, it was natural that I contact her. After few conversations we decided to collaborate and come up with a series for her Fashion blog - Kya Pehnu.
Immediately we stuck a chord and working together became breeze. We chose Deer Park opposite Safdarjung Enclave to be our first location because this is one place which offers multiple backgrounds. Greenery, Lake, Hauz khas fort, joggers lane and plush green lawns are few examples. In short, This place is photographers heaven.

GIXXER/ SF: The Gixxer has received praise from Indian critics and users for its exceptional riding performance and best fuel economy in its class. They made their presence felt during last Auto Expo and this time they launched their much-awaited motorcycle range 'Renegade' in three different variants: Renegade Commando, Renegade Sports S and Renegade Classic.

The Renegade Commando is a low slung cruiser powered by a 279CC single cylinder water-cooled engine developing 25 bhp at 8500 rpm and 21.8 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. The motorcycle comes with a six-speed gearbox, wide handlebars, hydraulic telescopic front suspension, 110/90 -16 front and 140/90 -15 rear tyres, Braking is handled by a 280mm, 2 piston caliper upfront and a drum brake at rear. The Renegade Commando will be available at INR 1.59 lakhs (Ex-showroom New Delhi)
The Renegade Sport S model and Classic will also share the same engine as the Renegade Commando. Mechanically Renegade Sport S is completely similar to Renegade Commando. The only difference is styling. Sport S has 1100 mm height against Commando's 1140 mm. Length is 2227 mm against commando's 2257 mm. Sport S is 40 mm wider too. Apart from above changes, all three variants share similar seat height of 750 mm, Wheelbase of 1545 mm, Ground clearance of 150 mm and comes with generous 18 litre tank capacity. Booking for all three motorcycles have commenced at the ongoing Auto Expo.
UM International in alliance with the UP-based Lohia Auto has invested Rs 250 Crore for business expansion. Manufacturing is already underway at the Lohia Auto's Kashipur facility in Uttrakhand which will also support the government's "Make in India" initiative.

In accordance with Volkswagen’s global focus on electric vehicles, the Passat GTE is a plug-in hybrid powered by an electric motor and a TSI engine. The Passat GTE comes with a Petrol- Electric Hybrid power train mated with a 6-speed DSG gear box and has a combined power (engine + electric motor) output of approximately 218 PS. 03, February 2016: New Delhi: In a pursuit to offer the dynamic and enthusiastic IndianS a product to boost the spirit of adventure, Isuzu Motors India unveiled India’s 1st “Adventure Utility Vehicle” the ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross at the 2016 Auto Expo, which began at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. Mr. Susumu Hosoi, Chairman & Representative Director, Isuzu Motors Ltd., and Mr. Naohiro Yamaguchi, Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India, unveiled the new range of ISUZU D-MAX pick-ups which include the commercial range also for India, at a press conference held at the Isuzu Motors India stall.
The ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross comes with a 4WD (4X4) configuration, High Ride and a host of
exciting features and can be registered as a “Personal Vehicle”. The ‘V-Cross’ badge is
unique to the personal lifestyle vehicles. For commercial purposes, the ISUZU D-MAX will be available in various 4X4 and 4X2 configurations, with a combination of Crew Cab / Single Cab, High Ride / Normal Ride and flat deck / arch-deck load bodies. February 3, 2016 : New Delhi: General Motors today revealed more details of it's transformation strategy for India by announcing the 2017 launch of an all-new four door notchback, The Chevrolet Essentia, at the 2016 Auto Expo in New Delhi. Essentia is a sub 4 meter car based on Beat platform with seating capacity of 5 people and big enough boot to carry weekend luggage.
GM also took the opportunity to showcase a fun and spirited soft-roader concept based on the same platform called the Chevrolet Beat Active. The car is a fun and spirited concept that has been designed to stand out from the crowd. As a soft-roader, the Beat Active is ready for any adventure or challenge. With expressive design language and significant attention to detail, this youthful car is a response to India's maturing market and aspirational lifestyle. In the concept, Beat has received new front facia including new headlamp design with DRL's and projectors. Fog lamps also received ample LED inclusion. Front and rear bumpers have been designed keeping the fun quotient in mind
The other cars showcased were: Chevrolet Spin, Trailblazer, New Chevrolet Cruze and trailblazer pickup. All these products have been introduced to further push the Chevrolet brand as a serious player in Indian automobile market.
Going forward all cars will share the new Chevrolet design language including the split front grill design. Looking at the declining sales, all products have been refreshed to give them the much needed push, which again looks half hearted attempt. Their new offerings like Spin was ignored by viewers. Trailblazer being their newest offering was not given much attention. The premium SUV should have displayed boldly. The only thing pulling the crowd towards Chevrolet pavilion with two iconic cars - Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette.

The only Indian constructor in the MotoGP World Championship, today unveiled
an all new MGP3O Moto3 racing motorcycle for the 2016 season at the Auto Expo. The 2016
MGP3O is a significantly upgraded motorcycle in almost every area as Mahindra Racing aims to
fight at the front of the highly competitive Moto3 World Championship in 2016.
The new bike has been developed at Mahindra Racing’s European headquarters at Besozzo near
Varese in Italy, part of the Indian automotive and technology giant’s ‘neural network’ of research
and development centers located around the world.
The new Mahindra MGP3O will be campaigned by factory entry Team Aspar with retained
talented young riders Pecco Bagnaia (age 19, ITA) and Jorge Martin (age 18, SPA). Three
Mahindra customer teams will see six further MGP3O machines on the grid in the hands of Team
CIP, the Outox Reset Drink Team; and MTA Team Italia: all running two rider outfits.
New to the Mahindra family in MotoGP is Peugeot Motocycles factory team, SP Racing. An
impressive line up of Frenchman Alexis Masbou (age 28) and Briton John McPhee (age 21) will
contest the Moto3 World Championship on an MGP3O derived Peugeot.
